a couple months ago had a new heater put in house. when it got cold i turned it on and it was not putting out any heat i called the company who sent a tech out who told us that when the heater was put in they inadvertenly did not turn on the gas valve. he turned it on and left the heater works great. then about a week later i get a bill of 141.00 for a service call. i called the company and they said i should not of been billed at all they were sorry and would credit my account. a few days later i get a letter from them stating that my account was credited and again saying that i should not of been billed in the fist place.. then two month later i get a letter from a collection agency saying the company in question had turned me into a credit company for non payment of the service call bill. this as you can inmagine has cause serious credit problems for me .. anyone out there have an good advice, can i sue the company? or am i just out of luck? any serious advice would be great thanks

Make sure to keep the original letter they sent to you saying that the billing was a mistake. Call the collection company and tell them what happened and tell them if they do not fix the problem that you'll contact your attorney and sue them for damages.
